Week 3
Another week had passed, another week full of new exciting things for the pups to learn. Last Saturday after writing the puppy dairy’s all the eyes and ears slowly started to open up and by the end of this week walking and sitting up is going a lot better as well. They finally aren’t babies anymore but real small doggies, hihi! Well and we’ve noticed that...
The characters are really starting to shine through, something that’s very nice to see. Also playing is something that happens a lot more in and outside the puppypen (and inside their whelpingbox) and growling and barking is something they are beginning to learn as well.
Yesterday especially was a hard day for all of us. The First ‘real’ puppy visit came by to cuddle but also to make some photo’s. And oh did we make some nice ones... With her help we made the individual pictures in the dairy today but we also did a lot more... Because the deadline for my add in the magazine of the Sheltieclub I needed to make some nice Christmas pictures. And they turned out so cute! But you all just have to wait a little longer to see them, because of course it isn’t Christmas time yet...
Today also was a very exciting day for our little ones... That’s because they got their first meal today! A little bit of Rodi meat was on the menu today. We were very curious to see how the pups would react on that. But actually it went pretty easy! The pups ate the Rodi really good ones they knew what is was, they loved it as far as I could tell. Another new exciting thing the pups got to meet today...
Curious Eevee Special Princess
Eevee, well her character became very clearly this week. Wow she’s a feisty little girl that one! She know what she wants and how to get it...
She has a very nice bound with Ashley. Those 2 get along great. Staring at each other and stirring up things are the things they like to do, hihi.
Eevee decided this week that she is too old for the rest and that she can play alone with Ash and Abby whenever she wants. Too bad it doesn’t work that way, hihi. But when she doesn’t get what she wants, well then we all will hear it!
Eevee’s endurance is also bigger then is the case with the rest of the litter. They fall asleep after a couple of minutes of playtime while she can go on for over 15 minutes...
But she also is a big cuddle. She loves to cuddle or to sleep on your feet, and she can kiss great! She’s just a bit cocky, hahaha...
Ambitious Phione Special Princess
Phione our little white lady. She is clearly a bit easier then her sister but she know what she wants well. She discovered playing this week and walking is something she does better every day also.
Phione sometimes is a bit of a loner. What I mean by that is that she goes her own way. But she’s also very fond of her siblings. Because when she wants to play...
Phone is a easy going lady. She knows what she wants but when she doesn’t get that she just makes the best of it.
I’ve noticed that she is the favorite of many, well don’t let her hear that because we don’t want to make her even more spoiled than she already is hahaha! She’s already a model we noticed yesterday. She just loves the camera! But hé with her looks it’s probably good that she is, because my guess is that she’s gonna be photographed a lot in her life...
Lightning Raichu Special Princess
Our teddybear Raichu, that’s his name now a days. Our big guy with a small heart, hihi! Raichu comes over as oh so though because of his facial expression and size. But ones you get to know him... Well then you’ll notice that he’s just a little boy who loves to cuddle and kiss. And taking he likes also, as long as he’s getting attention.
The only problem is when he doesn’t get attention. Because when he wants a cuddle he wants it now, and when that doesn’t happen Raichu starts to whine. First moaning and then ‘barking’. Yeah he knows what he wants.
The stuffed animals here at our home are also something he loves. Pulling then is something he thinks is just great!

Playful Phanpy Special Princess
And then Phanpy, the guy that came out of his shell this week. He’s been going on some adventures last week mostly together with his big sister Eevee...
Phanpy’s character seems to have a lot of resemblance to his mom. First watch and learn and then approach. But ones he know what it all is... His ‘auntie’ Ash for example, at the beginning of this week he thought she was a bit scary. But now he loves her and even stole her sleeping arrangement for the night!
Phanpy has to learn a bit about walking. But sitting down is something he can do already so there is progress.
How Phanpy will grow up we’ll just have to wait and see. But at the moment he is a nice social boy with a lead back character that just takes his time for everything. Well and that’s fine by me!...
Prince Manaphy Special Princess
Our prince Manaphy, his crown is beginning to disappear unfortunately. Awh well it’s part of the progress, the coat change.
Manaphy is a little boy with his mind made up. He’s easy going, but when he wants to play he wants to play. So barking and hitting other pups with his paw is something he has already begun to learn this week, hihi.
Manaphy and his little brother are tired a bit sooner then the rest of the bunch. They just fall asleep in the middle of playtime, very funny to see! This was something we noticed during the photoshoot as well. At the end Manaphy just was up, he was so tired. So when his brother we’re still posing he decided to fall asleep in the corner.
He’s just a little baby still, and well he has the right to be hasn’t he. Manaphy is also very social and loves to lie next to the others. Playing with his mom and ‘auntie’ Ash is something he’s beginning to learn so we’re very curious to see how that will go the next weeks...
Cute Buneary Special Princess
And then we have little Buneary. Still a baby and the midget of the bunch, and still by far the smallest and well I just have to say cutest of them all. That sweet little face, oh...
Buneary is really the baby. He’s the first one to fall asleep during playtime (most of the time), he walks the worst of them all and he just started to discover the world outside of his whelpingbox. Awh well you always have late bloomers don’t you.
But don’t get me wrong, because during playtime he can be very active. Although unfortunately he somehow always ends up at the bottom no matter what happens. Hahaha, poor little dude!
Today Buneary made his first tour of half of the living room. And he thought is was so exciting! The whole world is one big party for him, he’s so easy going and has those fun little eyes of him that study the world around him.
If Buneary will become more assertive we’ll just have to wait and see. But he’s just so small and cute, to be honest I can’t imagine that he will...
And that was it for the puppy dairy’s this week. The pups have a very exciting week ahead of them so I’m guessing there will be a lot of stories to tell next week. Starting tomorrow the first potential owners will stop by for a visit, so that’s pretty huge! And maybe by the end of the week (depending on the weather) the pup will have the change to explore our garden as their first adventure outside. But that’s all to come.
