Week 8

We’re already down to the last puppy dairy. Or not really the last... But lets say the last dairy written while all the pups are still here. Because from tomorrow on the pups will slowly leave us until eventually the last one that will go around the Christmas holiday. Luckily it’s not that time yet so there are a couple more puppydairy’s left. Although I must say that this feels like the last one.
Like the weeks before this week was also a very busy one. Starting in the weekend that was full of visit but also hard work. Because as most of you already know we managed to make a groupshot!

Thuesday was another day planned to the max for us. Staring with a visit to the vet for an eye-exam. And de results were great, all the pups are clear from all eye diseases! It can’t get any better than that of course... That evening the owner of Cheeta stopped by to meet the pups and measure them as well like we did with our first litter around this time as well. And these pups are definitely smaller than those we had then so that’s good news, we don’t have giants this time!
Thursday we had a trip to my horse riding school planned. A friend of mine and a puppyowner came along to help us out a little bit so we had great fun. And it was so nice to see the horses and especially Karstad again. We were a big attraction there and of course the pups had so much to see there as well. All those new smells, the noises of the horses, those strange big creatures that walked by... On out way back home they slept the whole way through. I got a great gift yesterday as well. An agility attribute to practice with in our backyard.
So that’s what we did Friday. Playing in the backyard with the pups, Abby and the agility course that we laid out for them. And boy did we have fun! One of the puppyowners stopped by for a visit also so it was a great afternoon. Ledgers owners were gonna come as well this week but unfortunately they couldn’t make it so they had to pass. Even more reason to plan an reunion next year so that they can see them all!
But lets go to the personal diary’s made on our last day together...

Curious Eevee Special Princess - Eevee

Eevee is still very cocky but is getting better each week. She learns quickly and picks up new things very fast.
She’s very much focused on food so this makes here easier to train. But it’s also an not so great thing since we have 2 dogs here now who battle for food... Hihi!
Eevee is such a great free spirit! She loves everything and (almost) backs down for nothing. The same thing happened at the riding school... No matter what she saw she likes it all. She really wanted to meet Karstad up-close and personal but we kept it from a distance this time...
The agility stuff were also a big success with Eevee. She loved it although she didn’t think it was fair that mommy got to jump and she didn’t. Bu she’s gonna get training very soon herself, only little over a week to go before she starts puppyclass...

Ambitious Phione Special Princess - Snowy

Snowy is getting feistier each day. She’s not one to mess around with. She loves to challenge others and has a great bond with Kai at the moment.
Snowy was during our trips these week as expected a bit of a dramaqueen again. She was shaking when we first entered the riding school but eventually she took it all in and watched everything with great interest. And boy was she popular... Everyone wanted to hold her!
Snowy is a but of a troublemaker especially at night. When she wants to play she wants to play no matter what everyone else thinks.
The outside playing is something Snowy loves even more and more each day. She refuses to go in at the moment that’s how much she loves it! As soon as she noticed that we’re planning to go in she runs and hide in the hope of not being caught so she can stay out a little longer. What a difference a couple of weeks can make... She’s gonna be something this summer is he loves the outside already this much when it’s this cold outside. Oh yeah and digging holes is something she discovered also this week, hihi...

Lightning Raichu Special Princess - BeeGee

BeeGee has been testing me for the last couple of days. That boy can be a hard one... He keeps looking me straight in the eyes and barks, always wants to have the last say. And the bad things he does... Oh what a cocky monkey!
But those eyes, those eyes make you melt. And he can be also very sweet and has such an nice personality. And to be honest that cockiness is also one of his cute sides I think.
BeeGee had that typical sheltie character, first wait and see. He showed that same behavior at the riding school. He though everything was great to see but only on the arm of someone he knows.
BeeGee did something unique today by the way... When Abby jumped over the agility beam he jumped right after her! Not good for him of course so not something he should do again but very special of course. Imagine what he can do next year if he can already do this at such an young age.
BeeGee knows his name very well although it can be hard sometimes because it sounds like Eevee a lot too. So most of the times you get 2 when you call one of them but hé I got 2 more here at home who have the same problem (one Kai and Sky for example)...

Playful Phanpy Special Princess - Mojo

Mojo the peoplenizer... That dog is a charmer! He loves people and know how to wrap them around his little tiny paws like the best. He favorite with a lot of people. Those eyes, the moaning and jumping and waggling his tail... Who doesn’t love that?!
At the riding school he stole the heart of one of the amazons there. He got on his arm when we got there and didn’t left until we were leaving. He thought it was great!
This afternoon he was the same way again and again he did it. Although the puppyowner didn’t came for him today she did cuddle with him a lot. As long as he gets attention, that’s all he needs...
Only biting is something he needs to learn not to do. Shoes and fingers aren’t save whenever he’s around. He thinks it’s great to suck on people’s fingers but the biting that he does with his teeth isn’t something we think is great. Something we gotta work on the next couple of weeks I think...

Prince Manaphy Special Princess - Sky

Sky, the always cheerful one just like his mommy. Waggling his tail, kissing attacks, it’s all part of his game...
Sky’s face gets cuter every week I think. I’t like he’s become more of a dog or something I don’t know. He can also look so sweet, especially when he’s eating up newspapers.
The riding school was something Sky liked very much as well although he was one of the first to fall asleep. But the whole ride to get there and then all those new impressions... Who could blame him?! And he did have a great time seeing all those new faces, hearing those new sounds and smelling those new smells...
Sky still loves to play with his siblings and stuffed animals. But bones are something he’s into as well! He’s very social, loves to cuddle with his siblings so that’s gonna take some getting used to in his new home. But I heard that they were already fighting there on who’s bed he’s gonna lie in so I’m guessing he’s gonna adjust there fine. And just like his brother Mojo he’s also really a people dog so with enough TLC he’s gonna feel at home in no time...

Cute Buneary Special Princess - Kai'len

Our dwarf... He’s so cute and tiny, probably will stay that way forever. But that’s what makes him so cute hé...
Kai can stand up for himself great. His owner just said it this afternoon... Boy can that boy growl. Little as he is he still sometimes wins battles.
His best friends are Snowy and BeeGee at the moment. He cuddles with them the most and challenges them for games also most of the time.
And bones... Oh he realized that he loves those! Today he got a dentastick and little as his teeth are he got a pretty bit part of it chewed away after a while.
The riding school was something he enjoyed as well very much. He really gave his eyes a great look at everything that was there to see but to be honest I got the feeling that he was also a bit relieved to be back in the stroller with his siblings. It got so cold there that it was starting to get to him but he warmed up pretty quickly once he fell asleep in the stroller. Something I would have wanted to do as well because it looked so nice!
But this little free spirit is ready to take on the world, let it come is his motto!

And with that I end this puppy dairy. A diary that I’ve written with a smile and a tear because now it’s really over. The next week 4 of the 6 pups will go to their new homes, the first one leaving us tomorrow already. It’s gonna be a though week for all of us but especially for Abby who seemed to have a feeling about what’s about to happen. It started Thuesday when Cheeta’s owners stopped by, it looked like she was saying ‘don’t take another pup from me!’. And my grandma told me that yesterday when we went to the riding school Abby kept on waiting by the door for us to come back. But she’s gonna have to say goodbye... The fact that one of the little ones is staying and that we have found such great homes for the ones that are leaving is what’s keeping our spirits up. So we’ll be ok... The next couple of days will be a ‘see you later’ for us and look at what we’re saying that too. We have enjoyed these little creatures for 8 some even for 9 weeks and boy did we loved and enjoyed them that time! I wouldn’t have wanna miss this for anything in the world, not matter how hard and though it was. I’m so happy to have been giving this opportunity and I’m looking forward to all the visits of the pups at their new places, the reunion next year and everything else that’s to come...
Next week will be a goodbye chapter about the pups that have left us the days before that. After that we will take a little break to eventually make our final diary at week 11 when the last pup will leave. But for now we still have some great clips and photos left and as always more can be found on my Youtube page and the pups page...
