Week 9

This was a though week that we’ve had coming for months now. The week of saying goodbye... We’ve been preparing for this for months now but still it’s hard when the time is finally here.
We have had 8 wonderful weeks with 6 beautiful miracles, because that’s what they are to me! We’ve had 8 weeks to enjoy all their bad behavior, adventures and touching moments. And what a great 8 weeks they were, I’ve loved every minute of it! This was by far the highlight of this year!
The saying goodbye this week wasn’t goodbye but see you later. In about a month time we’re gonna visit all the pups to see how they’re doing so we’re gonna stay in touch. But still it has something symbolic seeing that little one on the arm of someone else walk out that door. But we’ve cared for them for 8 weeks long, trying to prepare them for the big world with lots of kisses and hugs... And now it’s time for others to do that job, time for an new adventure! Below you can find the last puppy diary’s of some of the pups, their ‘goodbye diary’s’...

Saturday 27-11-2010 - Sky

The day the pups turned 8 weeks old was also the day that the first one left us. The first and the last one are always the hardest and we sure noticed that this time again. Putting together the last things for the little one to take home with, playing outside for the last time all together... All with mixed emotions!
Sky also known as ‘Prince Manaphy Special Princess’ was the first one to leave. We’ve had great contact with his owners for months now, so we know he’s going to a great new home. But still seeing that first one walk out the door with someone else... I didn’t cry (although it took some work) and got to say see you the way that I wanted too so that was great. Abby luckily didn’t noticed it that much (maybe because of the size of this litter) so that also made is a lot easier.
Sky is going to a family of 4, mom and dad and their 2 children. They have a lot of plans with him, maybe a sport someday... But he’s going to be a buddy and new family member at first! I know Sky will go to a great new home and will have a wonderful live there, a great match!  Have fun an good luck with your little guy!

Immediately after coming home I got a nice update of the trip with some photos and a video. He walked his way home and pied on the newspaper like he was supposed to. He right away felt at home, he’s just at a great place there!
The first night also went fine and the days to come he became naughtier and naughtier so he’s starting to feel at home now. Great to hear!

Sunday 28-11-2010 - Snowy

Snowy was the 2nd one to leave us a day after Sky left. Her goodbye was extra special because she was the only ‘different’ one but also we’ve doubted a bit at the beginning about keeping her. But eventually a certain other girl seemed to match with us better so we went to look for a owner for then Phione. This wasn’t an easy decision because so many people wanted here, so many great families. But eventually we decided on a nice family and we have no regrets.
The see you of Snowy went a bit easier for us then the one the day before. The first one is the hardest and once you’ve done that you’ve had that first bump. Snowy played with her mommy, brothers and sister before she left and gave her sister a great goodbye kiss right before here leaving us. Abby had a harder time saying see you to our ‘little white wonder’, she kept on watching Snowy as she stepped into the car and was not herself after that. Thankfully she had 4 other to look after so went on with that later that day.
Snowy is also going to a family of 4, mom and dad and their 2 girls. But that’s not all because Snowy will have a doggyfriend as well. A tricolor sheltie bitch named Senna! I know for sure Snowy will have a great time with here and will find a great friend in her. Also the kids will welcome Snowy with open arms so she will be fine there. You too good luck with your little special girl and have fun!

After coming home I quickly got a call saying that the trip went fine. Snowy slept almost the whole way home and behaved perfectly. Later that day I heard that the meeting with their other sheltie Senna went great as well. They forgot their camera but told me that Senna’s unusual way of playing took some time getting used to but once that was ok the 2 girls became great friends and played until Snowy couldn’t walk anymore and fell asleep.
The first night also went well and soon after great videos of Snowy followed. She also started to get an attitude real quick and became real cocky to Senna. Yeah like I said it’s a though little lady, hihi! Snowy is clearly at home now so that was a great start of the week...

Friday 3-12-2010 - Kai'len

Between the leaving of Kai and snowy was a couple of days so we tried to enjoy them as much as we could.
But eventually it became Friday... And it looked liked Kai already knew what was about to come! Just by the way he cuddled with his brothers and sister, the way he was playing and how hyper he was. He just wanted to enjoy his last moments here.
Kai’len’s family can with a new visitor this time, their son. And immediately Abby knew what was going on, she started barking and growling and didn’t want to know anything about it... She kept on watching everyone closely until the it moment was there. Kai seemed to love it all, a new adventure ahead but Abby had a harder time with it. She watching him from the kitchen window driving away to his new home and was not herself for the rest of the evening.
Kai will live with a family not far from here and will have a luxury live there. They had a sheltie before that was ‘too’ big so with Kai being a bit ‘too’ small they just have a thing with extremes... He’s going to a big house with all the attention for himself and soon he’ll probably start puppy class as well. We’re very happy with this match and wish Kai’len and his new family all the best and great fun!

After a short trip home I got an update that evening. Everything went fine, he had a little bit to eat, slept and was now walking through the house. We also got a great video about Kai’len in his new backyard so that was nice too. Did he maybe think this backyard was big, take a look at were he’s living now... Hihi!

Saturday 4-12-2010 - BeeGee

BeeGee had a special last evening. We went with him and the others to the garden centre to do some shopping and socialization at once. That same evening we also rearranged our living room so it looked more like it used to so that meant... Running loose without a puppypen! So he had a great last evening.
But then Saturday came... In the afternoon that moment was here, that moment that his new owners have been waiting for for so long. BeeGee’s new family has been on the waiting list ever since march! So he is so wanted, they have been waiting for so long...
That last morning together was great fun. A snowstorm which meant playing in our backyard, vacuuming the living room without them in the puppypen and running around free all day long! This all went on until that moment of saying see you came. Abby was kept down with the cookies they had with them but knew what was going on from the moment they got in. The see you was really hard again for Abby and she was not herself for a while again. She kept waiting at the front door for him to come back... Really hard for yourself to see because for us it became easier as the week followed because we’ve done it before and we heard from all the other pups already but for abby it became harder of course because she kept on seeing more pups going. Heartbreaking but part of it...
BeeGee went to a couple that already have a dogfriend at home but were looking for another one. BeeGee’s new mate will be Puk an beagle who he’ll surely have great fun with. Puk is very active in the agility world so hopefully BeeGee will eventually be too but only time will tell... BeeGee is coming into a great familie who want him so badly and are gonna spoil him also a bit I think. I think he’ll have a great live there with this ‘match made in heaven’... You as well good luck and have fun with your newest addition to the family!

During the trip back home I got some text messages about BeeGee and he wasn’t sleeping... Hihi! At home he also found everything very interesting and there was another dog... Great! Puk didn’t know what to think of that little new guy but though it was all ok. The first night went well as well and today he already had a nice walk.

(BeeGee already has his own site that can be found here, BeeGee's photoalbum can be found here and more clips of BeeGee can be found here!)

And the remaining pups...

And then there were only 2 left... Wow that takes some getting used too! In a weeks time from 6 to 2, what a difference. A logical difference but also a very hard one. Suddenly your in a whole different world, so much can change in a weeks time. But luckily we still have 2 left and we’re gonna enjoy our time together as much as we can!
Because of work Mojo will be staying with us for 2 weeks longer. What a luxury position, we get to enjoy him for 2 more weeks lovely! Our lives are slowly beginning to become a bit more normal so it’s time for some new things. Walking with the pups, more socialization and puppy class is on the program!
Next week we’ll have our first class together and Mojo is coming with us for that class and for the one that week later so we’re very curious to see if they will like going to school...
And Eevee, well as everyone already knows by now she’s not going anywhere! Her adventures with mommy Abby and ‘auntie’ Ash aren’t over as she’s staying with is. Eevee also has her own page now which can be found here...
We're gonna enjoy there last 2 weeks together as they sure will fly by! We have loved our time with all the pups here and although we’ll miss them like crazy we’re also very happy that they have gone to such great homes. We’ll gonna see them all in about a months time to see how they are doing then but first they’re gonna get adjusted to their new families!

And with that we end another dairy chapter. A chapter full of emotions but with a beautiful ending... Next week there will be no new dairy. We’re gonna enjoy our little boy and girl now that gets to stay a bit longer! After the last pup will leave here the last dairy will come online so that’s in about 2 weeks.
Below you can find some pictures and videos of last week and more of course can de found on the pups page and on my Youtube page.
Oh and than another thing. Since we only have 2 pups left now that will probably walk around here most of the time we’re a little bit in doubt about the webcam. We want to place it somewhere here but where and how is the question. Keep on checking the webcam page for more info the upcoming days to see is we find a solution for this problem...

Bye, bye, till soon!
